Can I skip Playable Archive rituals?
Steam lists them as a core experience. Treat them as required until a skip is documented. There is no save to practice around them.
Playable Archive rituals are one of three Steam-listed experiences: perform demonic rituals, communicate with the dead, experience multiple timelines. Playable Archive by DarkStone Digital (App 5356470) is a 30–60 minute sitting with no save. This page is procedure: tracing, table board, named slates, binding keys. Step lists that a recap did not perform stay Unverified. Steam.
Wrong-order outcomes are unmarked until captured. Do not invent a failure table. Collect marks on symbols first; finish the sitting on ending.

Steam names Playable Archive rituals as a core experience, bundled with talking to the dead and walking multiple timelines. The store does not publish a numbered rite list, a failure matrix, or a skip button. Treat every table interaction as required until a recap or patch notes say otherwise.
| Steam / recap | Means for a sitting | Does not mean |
|---|---|---|
| Perform demonic rituals | You will trace, greet, command, bind | Optional side content |
| Communicate with the dead | Board / greeting / offerings language in documents | A separate multiplayer séance mode |
| Multiple timelines | Footage and rooms can desync; finish the sitting | Confirmed multiple endings |
| No save system | Do not practice a rite, quit, and resume | A checkpoint after the first trace |
Searchers ask if they can skip Playable Archive rituals because the content warning is loud. Steam still lists the rites as something you perform. A recap that talks to the table, reads slates, and handles binding keys is the current evidence that this is the mid-to-late sitting, not flavor text you can walk past.
Timeline talk belongs on ending. This page only notes that ritual work and fractured footage share one sitting. If you came from symbols, you already have the Steam exposure warning. Rituals are how those marks get used.
A recap VO states the rule in plain language: this is how you reach out to it. Tracing the symbols will call it to you. Different tracings, markings, and offerings bring a response. That is what the different pieces are for — they change intent. You have to be careful: every time you reach out, its connection to you gets stronger, and you will be in even more danger.

| Line (Unverified recap) | Player rule |
|---|---|
| Tracing the symbols will call it to you | Do not trace until you have the marks |
| Pieces change intent | Greeting, offering, and command are not the same stroke |
| Every reach-out strengthens the connection | Extra traces are not free practice |
| Every demon has keys it is bound to; keys command it | Keys are the control layer |
| Gain its knowledge, bind it to the threshold | End state named in VO |
| These markings reveal the bind key of the demon that is here now | Local bind key, not a generic tattoo |
| When the threshold is built with the correct keys, the demon will be tied to it | Threshold is the lock |
| Draw the key, and it will obey | Drawing is the verb |
| With every command / key of the threshold, it will get more violent | Success is not safer |
The same recap later has chalk in hand and nothing to copy. They say they need to find the symbols first. That is the correct stall diagnosis. Sweep the bedroom. Revisit the painted wood board in the wall cavity. Watch the tape that just spoke. Do not guess a figure because the VO said “draw the key.”
VO also says this is the first step and the rest will be much harder, and that everything else is meant for you. That is narrative, not a hidden second Steam page. Pickup cluster in the same recap: another tape, a hand-bound booklet, a pediment slate, and a tape labeled bind. Carry those to the table instead of hunting a new wing of the house.
Silent walkthrough footage (TZNYjbi36J8) is the capture target for a ritual-space still. The recap timestamps are for what the documents say. Pending slots wait for frames, not for this wiki to invent a stroke diagram.
The recap never reads a HUD title “Ouija.” The player calls the dining-table device an Ouija-board-looking thing, then later “Ouija board time.” This wiki keeps Ouija-like board as a description, not an official product name. Hardware still matters: you sit, you drag, you watch the same symbols return.

| Board beat (Unverified recap) | What happened | Do not assume |
|---|---|---|
| Go to the table | After rooms run out of clicks | That the board was skippable |
| Numbered drag 1–2–3–4 | First pass “worked”; symbols appeared | That 1-2-3-4 is a published Steam code |
| Same symbols again | Second pass repeated marks | A new fourth official glyph |
| Second 1–2–3–4 | “Nothing” on that try | A complete failure table (unmarked) |
| Need meaning of the symbol | Player stalls for documents | That the board is finished |
Early inspect text on the painted board already pointed at the dining-room table. The board is where tracing happens. Meaning comes from papers you find before or after the drag. If a pass does nothing, the recap’s next move is not to invent a new number sequence — it is to read. That is why this page refuses a fake success/fail grid.
If your sitting cannot sit at the table, you may still be in a camera or crowbar stall. Fix that on camera or puzzles, then come back. Trailer pqMxU4EcnSI is a mood capture, not a board tutorial.
Two slate titles are read clearly. Slate of command: follow the tracing lines of command to invoke the pact bound to the inscribed key. Enacting the pact will compel the demon to carry out the previous agreement tied to it. Slate of greeting: to connect with a demon, it must first be greeted. It must be welcomed. The design accomplishes two purposes: first, welcome the entity to you; after it has been welcomed, tracing this design informs it you are presenting an offering (see offerings).

| Slate (text only) | Order hint in the document | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Slate of greeting | Welcome first; later tracing = offering | Unverified recap |
| Slate of command | Invoke pact bound to the inscribed key | Unverified recap |
| Offerings | Named as a see-also; item list not on Steam | TBA |
| Pediment slate | Pickup name with bind tape; not the same as the two titles above | Unverified recap |
Greeting is contact. Command is a pact already tied to a key. Reverse them and you are guessing. Offerings are referenced, not listed. Do not invent candles, salt, or blood as required reagents because a recap joked about salt on the floor — that player also corrected “that’s salt,” not a glyph.
These slates are why Playable Archive rituals are not “draw anything on the table.” Intent is named. If you only wanted the object catalog, stay on symbols. If you want the sitting to end, you still have the binding-key paper after the slates.
After the slates, the recap opens a compilation. Caution line: use extreme caution; invoking the symbols within will place you in great danger. Then a heading the recap settles as binding keys of commencement: all demons must obey keys of bindings. While there are many keys to command an entity, a demon must first be bound to service with one of the six commencement keys. Binding of the hand is read as a following heading.
| Document beat (Unverified recap) | Use in a sitting |
|---|---|
| Invoking symbols in the document = great danger | Read; do not republish figures |
| Six commencement keys; bind first, then other commands | Binding is a gate, not flavor |
| Binding of the hand | Named heading; no icon here |
| Symbols are way marks, not the power itself | Do not treat a doodle as the demon |
| Trace the figure of inquiry | A named tracing type in prose |
| Draw the key and it will obey (earlier VO) | Same verb as the threshold plan |
| Tape labeled bind + hand-bound booklet + pediment slate | Carry to the table with the papers |
Earlier VO: gain its knowledge, bind it to the threshold; different keys have different uses, but everything leads back to the threshold; when the threshold is built with the correct keys, the demon will be tied to it, and this will all be over. Later VO: with every command, every key of the threshold, it will get more violent. Playable Archive rituals therefore escalate. A clean bind is not a safe bind.
The same paper talks about nested markings inside symbols of command, edict markings they must serve, and tracing a figure of inquiry so a spirit declares its order. Those are document sentences, Unverified as HUD labels. This wiki will not draw the six keys or add a real-world angel calendar because the recap also named days of Archangel Haniel.
Document stills on this page are the papers in the house, not a cleaned SVG. Wrong-order outcomes stay unmarked.
Public store copy does not name a skip. Recap wrong-order outcomes are unmarked: one numbered drag “worked,” a later drag did “nothing,” and the player went looking for meaning instead of receiving a labeled fail state. This page will not invent a wipe / soft-lock / ignore table on top of that.
Marks catalog: symbols.
After the last rite: ending.
Full sitting order: walkthrough.
Steam lists them as a core experience. Treat them as required until a skip is documented. There is no save to practice around them.
Unverified recap: tracing the symbols will call it to you — but only after you have the marks. Greeting is documented as happening before command.
Recap description only. This wiki says Ouija-like board. Steam does not print that trademark as a HUD name in the sources used here.
Document titles in a sitting recap. Greeting welcomes / can present an offering. Command invokes a pact bound to an inscribed key.
A recap document: demons obey keys of bindings; bind with a commencement key before other commands. Binding of the hand is a spoken heading. Glyphs are not listed here.
Not documented. One recap pass did nothing. Extra traces increase danger according to VO. Unmarked until captured.
